IT Project Manager, Application Management

Job Summary

We’re seeking an experienced IT Project Manager, who can understand Business’s needs and deliver future proven solutions to support Business growth and achieve company objectives. Supporting the Delivery Lead in delivering the project plan on time and on-budget.

Job Responsibilities 

Project Implementation and Management:

• Understand systems and business process flow, identify business needs and determine ideal business flow and opportunities for improvement.
• Understand Business products and operations process in order to participate in discussion with business owners.
• Design future business process and users flow , translate to system requirements with architect/ Tech lead and application subject matter experts.
• Establish project plans, resources, budgets and timeframes, and assign tasks
• Identify, track and communicate project progress, milestones, deliverables changes and dependencies within the schedule, costs, issues and risks
• Manage project team’s performance of project tasks, provide advice and guidance, schedule assignments and manage the team’s capacity.
• Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables or revisions to the project from the project sponsor and stakeholders
• Coordinate project activities across multiple teams and across multiple LoB ( Line of Business).
• Ensure work deliverables are following  policies and regulatory requirements.
• Overseeing all project activities ; business requirements, functional specification, project plan, test strategy, test plan, etc.
• Plan and conduct regular updates to Project Sponsors and Key Senior Stakeholder.

Perform product backlog grooming regularly.

• Work with business product owners to prioritize initiatives in sprint planning.
• Work with development team on software enhancement and facilitate development in agile or waterfall approach.
• Understand data flow and logical data structure, provide suggestion on solutions design.
• Ensuring business requirements are translated into detailed story points.
• Facilitate and manage effort estimation exercise on time, manpower and any kind of resources that would assist in completing any sprint/ project.
• Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of sprints / projects
• Lead ongoing reviews of business and IT processes and developing optimization strategies
• Review the deliverables from consultants or vendors to ensure quality of the delivery

Drive Continuous Improvement

• Stay up to date on the latest technology and market insights to modernize applications system.
• Facilitate continuous improvement in driving business growth by contributing innovative ideas and solutions.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in same industry/same role. 
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or another related field required
• Good people management skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and influencing skills
• Good team player, open-minded and keen to learn
• Solid business acumen and integrated and critical thinking
• We seek Cantonese or Mandarin-speaking candidates who are required to serve Cantonese or Mandarin-speaking clients.
