Description

Job Summary:

Market facing role - the successful candidate will help to manage a sizable portfolio across broker and agency channels. He/she will be responsible to deliver top line and bottom-line plan in accordance with local and regional strategies, target segments and underwriting guidelines.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Grow a profitable P&C portfolio across motor and non-motor business
  • Manage renewal portfolio and identify and develop new business pipeline in the target segments
  • Meets and exceeds financial plans
  • Proactively develop and strengthen client relationships to expand business opportunities
  • Maintain regular contact with agents and brokers. Maintains a high market profile and good client relationships
  • Work closely with Head of Distribution HK and the team leaders to form and implement sales strategies with clear action plan
  • Work across functional teams in development and execution of business
  • Ready to undertake additional tasks and projects in support of overall objectives of Business Distribution Team
  • Advocate Liberty’s mission and vision and build our reputation in local market

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years of experience in business development or underwriting roles managing agent and broker channels
  • Passing Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examination (IIQE) – Paper 1 & 2 is a must 
  • Strong track record of developing profitable portfolio
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and under pressure in fast changing environment
  • Ability to navigating ambiguity and adapting to changes
  • Good decision-making skills and can effectively interact with people internally and externally
  • Proven strategic, analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Result oriented, self-motivated, strong sense of ownership
  • Advocate growth mind-set and “can do” attitude
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
