Motor Analytics Analyst (Ho Chi Minh Office)

The Motor Analytics Analyst is expected to provide analytical support to Asia MCM Motor Products (Vietnam base) and related stakeholders. The analyst is responsible to provide timely, accurate, and high-quality analysis insights to assist in the business decision-making process. This role reports to the Head of Motor Analytics

JOB DUTIES

Motor Analytics Analyst is expected to meet the following key responsibilities:

• Provide analytical support to Asia MCM Motor Products and related stakeholders to ensure high-quality business and sound portfolio management according to the company’s target rate of return and growth rate
• Proactively and frequently improve the analytics process through automation and communication with the business users
• Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data
• Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and loss predictions using relevant data Provide data and Actuarial recommendations to support underwriting decision-making
• Work closely with Global, Data East, Other Analytics, Motor Pricing, and Asia MCM Motor Products to ensure consistency in metrics and reporting tools
• Drive and lead ad-hoc analysis/projects based on emerging business needed 8. Assume other duties assigned by Head of Motor Analytics

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, and related fields
• 3-5 years of experience in an actuarial or analytic role, preferably in Motor Insurance
• Exhibit business acumen and strategic thinking
• Able to think outside of the box, work independently and be open to travel
• Advanced knowledge of SAS, SQL, Power Query, and experience in Power BI preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, fluency in English
