Executive, Product-A&H UW

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will join our Product-A&H, Underwriting Team in the Hong Kong office.  We will provide on-the-job training and opportunity for growth.

Job Responsibilities:

• To prepare quotations and underwrite group medical, group life, personal accidents & travel renewal case, in accordance with company’s pricing strategies, underwriting guidelines within delegated authority, and liaise with our reinsurers.
• To ensure underwriting decisions comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
• To assist the senior underwriting manager to manage profitable business growth of A&H by monitoring the premium growth, expense, loss trend and the retention ratio.
• To discuss periodically with senior underwriting manager to review business results and identify opportunities for action.
• To handle and assist in UW administrative work, support, and coordinate with Distribution, liaise and coordinate with Ops and Claims teams.  
• To assist in developing, improving and maintaining the group medical / life / personal accident / travel pricing tools under the guidance of senior underwriting manager and work with actuarial team to consistently deliver accurate pricing guidance to enable profitable business growth.
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Degree or above preferred, non-degree holders with relevant experience will be considered
• Over 1 - 3 years of relevant work experience in insurance industry
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with intermediates, internal and external stakeholders
• Strong verbal and written communications and organization skills
• Possession of outstanding work ethic and drive for knowledge
